What is TOEFL iBT®?

The TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) iBT® test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

Who Should Take The TOEFL?​

Students who have received their education in non-English speaking countries are often required to demonstrate an acceptable level of English proficiency on the TOEFL in order to be considered for admission to American colleges and universities. TOEFL is perfectly taken when a student is in between Year 10 and early Year 12 to make sure there is enough time for preparation. The TOEFL result itself is valid for 2 years since the date it is taken.

How does the TOEFL iBT Work?

The new TOEFL iBT tests integrated skills, and provides more accurate information than ever before regarding a test takers ability to communicate in an academic setting. Internet-based testing captures speaking and writing responses, and transmits them to human raters for evaluation and scoring. Score reports include each skill sections score and a total score that is the sum of the scores of all 4 sections of the exam.
